Reform and political change are important topics in social sciences and central topics in political science. They have been dominant issues throughout the history of mankind and occupy a broad area in the field of political science in terms of theorization and argumentation for and against them.

Given the fact that corruption and monopoly of power are an ongoing phenomenon in the world, dealing with the topic remains legitimate and justified no matter how much writing there is.  

From this perspective, the University of Human Development / College of Law and Politics will hold its 8^th annual conference on the issues of reform and political change. It aims to assess the political transitions happened in a number of countries in the last decade and the effects and consequences of the Arab Spring.

Therefore, the University of Human Development invites researchers to share their knowledge and arguments on the subject matter from various angles and by various methods so that a better understanding and interpretation can come about, and a better framework for reform and change can be proposed.
